Marisa Jensen
Fifteen years ago, a legend was born. Her name was Marisa Jensen. In the end of the 2010-2011 school year, Marisa signed up for Clarion. Earlier that year, she joined her high school basketball team, and at one of the games it just so happened that the girls basketball head coach from Notre Dame (Muffet McGraw) was there scouting for the other team. After the Bulldogs won the game, the coach went up to Marisa and offered her a spot on the team. Marisa was really excited but she’s only a freshman and to go to college was a big step. So Marisa told her that she was really excited for Clarion and she would take the spot on the Fighting Irish team as soon as she graduated high school.
Marisa is currently a Sophomore, enjoying the life of a high school student residing in her parent’s home in North Riverside. She enjoys playing basketball in her free time, and hanging out with friends. She can be reached by e-mailing jensenm@rbclarion.org.

Kate Alaks
Kate Alaks is a sophmore, and this is her first year on Clarion. Before coming to RB, she lived in a cave without a feed. She still does, but her friends are working on that. Last year she signed up for a school program that involved spending every day in the wilds of Australia, ranting about corn and food coloring. She enjoys trying to find new dimensions and/or travel back in time to the 60′s, obsessively obsessing over things, and talking to her pretend friends. One of her favorite quotes is “bananas are good,” even though she doesn’t like bananas.
Kate (aka Kadet Marshmallow) loves reading (her favorite book is Howl’s Moving Castle), writing, and The Beatles. She has just become a fan of Doctor Who. She has two dogs: one who is afraid of thunder, and the other who gets trapped in the garage. She also has neon orange fungus growing in her backyard.
