Spring Break? Spring Fever!

Spring Break? Spring Fever!

Catherine Jasionowski, Staff Reporter

It’s that time of year where the weather starts to get nicer and the days get longer. No, it’s not summer yet, but it’s spring. When spring comes so does spring break and spring fever, both of which are a blessing and a curse in one. Either way spring break is on its way and trying to figure out what to do, if you haven’t already, is an important thing to do.

Spring break is the last long break from school that we have before summer. When we come back, there’s only about two more months left. So making that week last is very important. Whether it be going on vacation with friends or family, staying home and catching up on sleep, or shopping for those new spring and summer clothes. There is something for everyone to do.

Hoping that the weather gets nicer for spring break, there are many things that can be done outside like going to a park or just walking around with friends. To have a good time there’s no need to go out of town, to a place where you may not know anyone. Staying home and spending time sleeping, hanging out with friends, or catching up on late homework is just as good. You can also spend time watching all of your favorite movies, or sitting down and reading a good book. Nothing special has to happen on your break. You just have to enjoy yourself with doing things that you like to do.

Then there is the possibility of going out of town for your week off of school. Either with your family or with friends. Both of which can be fun and exciting. With your family you can visit other family or go to an old place that you used to love as a kid and miss going too. With friends, it could be going to someone’s lake house or, going on a mission trip to build houses. It’s not always about where you’re going, it can be about whom you’re with and what you are doing with them.

Along with spring break coming up, that means that spring fever isn’t too far behind. The nicer weather coming and you are not wanting to be stuck inside all day anymore. You probably don’t want to do anymore homework, and just wanting the school year to be over with already.  Unfortunatly that’s not the case, school has to continue until the end of May and then we are all free for the summer. So just push through the last few months, because there are so many things that could happen that aren’t worth missing.
