Riverside Brookfield High School girls’ basketball season has begun. The thirteen player varsity team has a 3-3 record since the girls began their season Monday, November 2.

“We’re always trying to improve,” said head varsity coach Dallas Till, explaining his goals for the season. “I want my girls to have fun playing the sport and improve their skills and fundamentals. And hopefully with that, wins will come.”

The conference season began Thursday, December 3, with a win over Immaculate Conception Catholic Preparatory High School. Even with several injuries so far this season and a lack of height to retrieve rebounds, the team pulled through with a win.

The girls have been putting in extra practice time in the morning and after school to get better.

Till says that to get on top of the other teams, they need to be willing to dive for loose balls, try new plays, and put in extra work.

Although the Bulldogs had a rough few weeks, they have turned it around and have a strong record to show for it.
