I agree that finals should be before the holiday break. I wasn’t really affected by this because I’m a senior and only had to take one final, but I had to take all of my finals I know my test scores would have decreased.
It’s ridiculous to ask students to study over break. It is a time to celebrate, relax, and visit with your family. How can someone possibly enjoy break, with finals in the back of their mind?
Teachers are always pressuring you to do your best, but honestly after a two week break in school, I don’t see how that is possible.
I think that the school should move finals to before break, so students can relax over break and not have to worry about school.

During my tenure there that how it was every year. I was jealous when I heard that they had switched it a few years ago. It was very odd though. We would come back from break and would have a week of review just to remind us what we forgot over the break. Then, by the end of January we would finally be on to learning new stuff. Needless to say that newer way is much more efficient.
