RB’s boys cross country team got their first regional victory since 1972. Leading the way was senior Justin Pomey getting 16:30 and placing first overall in regionals. Other top five medalists were David Melone getting fourth and Peter Lyson getting fifth. Chris Shomer also got a top ten finish as well.

Peter Lyson expects to do well in sectionals with RB ranking third. The sectionals are on October 31st at Niles West in Skokie. Its starts at 1:30 so before you go trick or treating go out and show your support to a historic season in the making.

Cross country coach, Daniel O’Rourke said, ”This is a great honor for are hard working team. It is also a tribute to are four year runners David Melone and Peter Lyson.”

These past five years coach Foreberg took RB’s boy cross country team and turned it around to a group to be reckoned with. With their success growing more and more who knows what they will accomplish in the years to come.
