Girls volleyball ends great season
November 17, 2010
The girls varsity volleyball team ended its season last month with a record of 19 – 16. The season ended with a loss in the first round of the regional tournament to Queen of Peace high school.
Middle Blocker Kelsey Eger led the team in blocks, Erin James in digs, Alleigh Vandermerkt in aces and assists, and Elena Duve in offence, averaging an impressive eight kills a game.
Although this marks the end of four seniors’ RB careers, the remaining players have high hopes for next year.
“I love the seniors so much, it’s going to be hard to see them leave, but I know we’ll still have an awesome season next year,” said junior Colleen Cody.
“It’s hard to see the season end, I’m going to miss the team a ton,” said senior Astin Moravek.
