Congratulations to our school-wide Poetry Out Loud winner, Amanda Martinez, who was representing Mr. Dignan’s class. She will advance to the regionals in Des Plaines on February 18th for the chance to compete at the National Poetry Out Loud competition and win a $20,000 scholarship. Congratulations, too, to the other students who placed in the top five: runner-up Adam Nie; Nicole Bajerek; Gianni Segarra; and Lisandro Resto. Thank you to all of the teachers who participated in the event and to the administration for judging the event.
