Family

What am I grateful for? My family.

This is cliche, I know it is, but seriously I am super thankful for my family. From the oldest, to the youngest (and newest) I am thankful.

From my grandmother, who brought me up like a second mother. Who taught me how to sing, who told me to be myself and to not change for anyone, ho taught me how to cook real Italian food, and made me listen to her favorite classical/opera station while driving.

From my grandfather, who passed away when I was younger. He was the father that I never had. He taught me how to make others laugh. He taught me that cheese is a great way to get rid of sadness, and he taught me that life goes on after death.

From my mom. She’s basically my twin. Seriously, we laugh at the same things, we cry from the same things. We listen to the same kind of music, and watch the same movies. Even though we can have some disagreements, she’s the most important person in this world.

From my uncles and aunts, the people who I don’t see often but have a major impact. They were the ones who got me watching and playing football. Who always encourage me to do whatever I can. They are the ones I crack jokes with at bad times. And the people I can be me around. I’m so thankful for all of them.

From my cousins, the ones who made me truly love sports. They’re the ones who take me to the White Sox games, the ones who take me to concerts. The ones who give me headaches (constantly), and the ones I have the most fun with. They’re the closest thing to me, and I’m so thankful for all of them.

And for the baby that’s not born yet. You’re going to have a great life, you’re coming into a great family. From grandma to me, we are all pulling for you. You can be anything, you can do anything. And we all love you.
