Sigita “Siggy” Cuplinskas

Sigita Cuplinskas is no new face when it comes to state. She has been to state in the past with Special Olympics track. She is beyond excited to be taking on this challenge a second time and with a new team and coaches. Cuplinskas made it through the season with a big help from her coaches.

“My coaches have helped me the most because they keep pushing us to remember,” said Cuplinskas.

Cuplinskas made multiple new friends through this sport. Not only friends from RB, but friends from other schools around our area. She became close with multiple kids from LTHS.

Basketball can be a hard sport to play and prepare for. Cupliskas especially struggled when it came to practices and games. The hardest part of this season for her was preparing to go against other teams.

“Usually I get nervous before the games, but once I start playing I’m okay,” said Cuplinskas

Everyday Cuplinskas tries her best to encourage her team to do better. She enjoys spending time with her team and making them feel better about themselves.
