AC3 : Play an American History
April 6, 2016
In American History class, we learned that the British had passed many acts on the colonists, making them angry, and partially causing the the Revolutionary War.
Imagine you are one of the soldiers in the heart of Battle of Lexington and Concord, Battle of Bunker Hill, French and Indian War, or even a revolutionist in the Tea Party in Boston. You can become the part of the glorious American revolution.
Ratonhnhake:ton often known by Connor. Born in Kanien’keha:ka (People of the Flint), also known as the Mohawk. One of the five original nations that make up the Haudenosaunee, or the Iroquois Confederacy during the American Revolutionary War.
In 1760, while he was still a young Mohawk, he was assaulted by Charles Lee and other members of the Templar Order and lost his mother shortly after during the burning of his village by George Washington’s forces. Connor himself however, believed the Templars to be responsible for the attack.
Connor joined the Assassin Order to prevent the Templars from returning. Connor convinced Achilles Davenport, the Mentor of the Colonial Assassin Brotherhood to train him.
During the his hunt for the Templars, Connor aided the Patriot movement and protected George Washington, unknowingly becoming an important figure of the American Revolution.
Upon learning that it was Washington, not Lee, who had burned his village, Connor became disillusioned with the Revolutionaries, but continued using them to aid the eradication of the Templars
Connor had many roles in that game that linked with history, such as the Boston Tea party
During the Tea Party, Connor protected the Sons of Liberty, and smugly dropped the last crate of tea into the water as a show of rebellion.
In the Battle of Bunker Hill , where the forces of Israel Putnam was engaging the British troops of John Pitcairn, Connor offered Putnam his help in disabling the ships that were pinning down the Continental forces with cannon fire, as destroying the artillery would drive Pitcairn out of hiding.
These are the examples of the historic events that we are able to play in the game.
Overall, Assassin’s Creed 3 is one of the great game in AC series, and you can learn history while also having fun!
