Welcome back fellow Pokemon trainers! This is Pokemon of the Week!

As you may know by now, Pokemon of the Week’s main goal is to inform you fellow Pokemon trainers of Pokemon you may encounter on your travels. This week’s Pokemon, chosen from the Pokemon Discord, is Volcarona, the Sun Pokemon.

The Pokemon’s national pokedex number is #637. As a bug and fire type Pokemon, I feel that it has potential, if you use the Pokemon strategically.

Pokedex entries state that “As it flies, it scatters its flaming scales. It was feared by ancient people, who referred to it as “the rage of the sun”.”

This Pokemon is the evolved form of Larvesta, the Torch Pokemon. It evolves from it at level 59.

I have realized that recently I have been talking about Pokemon that originated from the Unova Region. But this Pokemon, if used with the correct set of moves and timing, could dominate those in it’s path.

I am not officially sure if the Pokemon is able to take on the Elite Four with ease, but nonetheless is pretty powerful. But that’s all we have time for this week for Pokemon of the Week!
