The varsity girls’ volleyball team has reached the midpoint of their season with a record of 11-8.
One of the high points for the team this season has been taking first place at the Lyden tournament, beating five other teams and taking home the gold plaque.
“It felt really good to win. We really came together as a team today,” said junior Molly Chaney.
The girls also beat OPRF, a local power house, in three games.
The team has had a few close misses, barely losing by a point or two on more than one occasion. “Those are the losses that hurt the most,” said libero Erin James.
The regional tournament starts next week, with the Bulldogs scheduled to play Queen of Peace High School.
