On Saturday October 30th, the girls swim team’s regular season ended. Senior Amanda Gregus said “Everyone has done a great job this season improving their personal records.”
The conference swim meet took place on October 30th. The team placed third overall.
The 400 yard free style relay team placed second at the meet. Nina Pellizari, Megan Frey, Tessa Sunstrom and Andie Krug all contributed to the successful relay.
Frey placed 5th in the 500 yard free style and 3rd in the 200 I.M.
The sectional meet will be held on November 13th. The Junior Varsity team and the Varsity team both competed in the meet this past Saturday.
Only the Varsity team, (Gregus, Tori Buris, Abby Louthen, Ali Burke, Arial Moon, Daina Callahan, Sydney Veone, Emma Veone, and Kathleen Falk) will swim in the sectional meet. To qualify for state, the swimmers will have to take first place in an event or complete their event under a certain time.
During the next two weeks, the girls will be intensely preparing for this important meet.
