Joss Whedon, the man behind Buffy, Angel, Firefly, Dollhouse and director of The Avengers

Recently the highly popular show How I Met Your Mother entered its ninth and final season in which we will finally see how Ted (Josh Radnor) meets the mother of his children. It’s been a long and immensely fun ride, but in this article I would like to focus on one of the show’s trends that people may or may not of picked up on; the Whedon Alumni. A large number of actors who have appeared on the show have worked with writer, director, and songwriter Joss Whedon (Firefly, Avengers, Buffy the Vampire Slayer).  One of the TV show’s leads, Alyson Hanigan who plays Lily Aldrin, played a major role in Whedon’s show Buffy as Buffy’s best friend Willow.
