On Monday, October 16, the girls’ varsity volleyball team celebrated a win over the Ridgewood varsity volleyball team. RBHS defeated them with a winning score of 25-16 in the first match and 25-19 in the second match.

Warm-up started off cheerful. The Bulldogs came ready to play, wearing their senior night attire.

The first match, the Bulldogs started off strong with a commanding lead over the Rebels. The Bulldogs dominated and rarely left a point unanswered.

The second match the Bulldogs fought hard and pulled ahead once more. They were able to again hold onto a sizable lead against the rebels.

This was a well deserved and important win for the team. This was their last home games and the last chance for the senior to play a game at their school. Corresponding with tradition, the girls’ volleyball Senior Night also took place on Monday.

Five seniors, Olivia Louthen, Vasara Kulbis, Maya Diaz, Claire Swiatek, and Ruth Hruska-Kelley said goodbye to the courts of RB. Parents and players walked arm in arm proud and smiling ready to receive their roses.

As the last home game for our seniors concluded, heartfelt congratulations and hugs were exchanged. The Bulldogs got to take home a win from their last home game of the season.

The Bulldogs will advance to the regional semifinals against Reavis Highschool with an overall season record of 19-15. The Varsity team will be playing at 6:30 pm on the 24th at De La Salle.
