Taco cat from Exploding Kittens standing proud above the Monopoly Man

Julian Duda, Staff reporter

Most people have played a tabletop/board game at some point in their life. They are a fun way to connect with your family, friends, and form new relationships. However, many people may play one game without ever picking up a new one. By stopping after just one, you are doing a disservice to yourself. There are so many different categories of tabletop games that if you don’t like one, you can find something totally different to fit your interests. I’ve put together a list of the games I think are the best for a legendary game night.

  1. Exploding Kittens

If there is one game to get on this list, it is Exploding Kittens. This game is perfect for all ages and is always interesting so you will never have to tell your friend to put their phone away. Exploding Kittens is advertised as taking only two minutes to learn and 15 minutes to play, meaning once you get out you won’t have to wait long to play again. Exploding Kittens is a game where you have to try to be the last man standing by forcing your friends to get closer and closer to triggering an exploding kitten. For this, you need to know warzone hacks .With game play as fast, fun, and intuitive as it is, your game nights will never be boring.

  1. Cards Against Humanity

Card Against Humanity is a game that is tons of fun with the right people. As a warning, this game is probably not the best to play with your family due to the mature content. However, game night with friends is where this game excels. While the humor in this game can be dark and inappropriate, it is hilarious if you play your cards creatively. This game is played in the same format as Apples to Apples and can be won through getting the most points, however, many times I have found myself playing way past the goal. As long as you find the right group of friends, this game will have you laughing for hours.

  1. Coup

While this game may be the most obscure on the list, the second I sat down to play I had a blast. If you ever want to play a game not many have before, Coup is the perfect one for you. As far as a game about lying and betrayal goes, this one always seems to bring people together. This game is all about bluffing your way into power then removing your friends from power. In this game you can work your way to the top by having a ton of money or push your way to the top by stepping on your opponents. Whichever way you choose, you will know which or your friends to keep close, and which to keep closer.

  1. Clue

A game that is almost as old as Monopoly, Clue is a game most can recognize. It’s held its popularity for 70 years and it isn’t hard to see why. Clue may seem time-consuming at first, but soon you too will be enveloped into the plot of the murder mystery. You can take on a case like Sherlock Holmes and win by being the first to deduce who is the murderer, what weapon they used, and the room the victim was murdered in. If you love trying to outsmart your friends and outwit your family, you will really enjoy this classic board game.

  1. The Game of Life

Over the years Game of Life has received many revisions. Finally, though I’m sure there will be more, I believe we have a truly good version of the game. There are countless amounts of ways to play this game, from trying to win quickly or taking the long route to rack up money. In the game you take control of an average person going through their life and control every choice they make. However, there is always that element of randomness that is present. No matter what strategy you use, it is always fun to see how your “life” turns out.
