It seems like yesterday that I was graduating from Komarek School and now four years have gone by and I am graduating from high school. These years at Riverside Brookfield High School have flown by and have taught me so much both inside and outside the classroom. I have enjoyed being so involved in my school and community. I was captain of the RB Twirl Team, a dancer on the Orchesis Dance Company and Repertory Dance Ensemble, involved in Student Association and National Honors Society, worked at the North Riverside Library, and got the wonderful and rewarding experience to report for Clarion my senior year.
I will definitely miss being a bulldog, but I am looking forward to moving on to my next step in life and pursuing my career. I will be attending Concordia University Chicago in River Forest next fall and will be majoring in elementary education with a concentration in mathematics. I am so excited to be an elementary teacher, because I love working with children and want to make a positive impact in their lives and future as their teacher. Also, dance is a big part of my life and I love being able to express myself through movement. I have made Concordia’s Dazzlers Dance Team and look forward next fall to continue dancing, being involved through volunteer opportunities, and still showing school spirit.
I would like to say a big thank you to my loving parents, family, friends, teachers, and administration for always supporting me and being with me every step of the way. I have enjoyed being on the Clarion staff and will miss all the wonderful reporters! I am saying goodbye to the Bulldog and hello to the Cougar!
