Time for the Spook

Carlee Battistoni, Staff Reporter

It is that time of the year again, where you are rewarded with candy for your spookiest costume ideas. Everyone loves to carve pumpkins, dress up, go to the pumpkin patch, and to go apple picking. But everyone knows the best part of Halloween is the scary movies.

You hear the wind whistling, tree branches hitting the window, and popcorn in your lap watching your favorite scary movie. The best part of watching scary movies is being on the edge of your seat the whole movie, not knowing when there is going to be another jump scare.

A poll on Twitter is asking people what their favorite Halloween movies are out of four options. Hocus Pocus, Halloweentown, Nightmare on Elm Street, and Casper. From a total of 48 votes, Halloweentown took the win with 35%. Runner up at second place was Nightmare on Elm Street with 29%, third place was Hocus Pocus with 25%, and last place coming in fourth was Casper  with 11%.

Kayla Fitzgerald said “I chose Halloweentown because I’ve seen it like 3000 times and it never gets old,” said sopohmore Kayla Fitzgerald. She also states that “I didn’t chose the others because Casper is a little kid movie, and Nightmare on Elm Street is too scary for me. I love Hocus Pocus but Halloweentown is my all time favorite.”

So what movie will you be watching this Halloween season?
