Mid-stunt

RB Cheerleading competed in sectionals this past weekend and secured themselves a place in state. With the top five teams going on to the state championships, every team was performing their best routines.

Every team was working with tight dance sections and picture-perfect stunts. RB is going to state after coming in at 4th place in sectionals with a score of 86.77. Also going is Bremen in 5th place (86.43), Tinley Park in 3rd (88.27), Lemont in 2nd (90.97), and Oak Forest in 1st place with 93.23 points.

“We kept a positive attitude during warmups and we were really tight,” said Senior Varsity cheerleader Cayley Stanislaw. “We could have been more solid in our stunts.”

When asked how they would do at state, she said, “If we hit everything, I think we could make it to day two.”

The state championships take place at U.S. Cellular Coliseum in Bloomington, Illinois, on Friday the 5th and Saturday the 6th.
