Tomorrow is the annual RB Homecoming football game at 7:00 PM. The Riverside Bulldogs, who are currently 4-0 on the season, will take on the Wheaton Academy Warriors, who post a record of 3-1 coming into the game.

The game is the start of Homecoming weekend on the 22nd, with the Homecoming dance on Saturday the 23rd at 7:00 PM. Before the Friday night lights are turned on, Varsity Head Coach Brendan Curtin had a few words to say about the game.

“I think [The Bulldogs] are off to a good start. So far we’re having a great week of preparation. It’s exciting we know we’re gonna have a lot of fans in the house, a lot of student body alumni coming back to watch the game,” said Curtin.

Junior tight end and middle linebacker Matthew Lams also had some comments before the game.

“It’s gonna be a good game. Both [teams] have players that can make plays. You can’t really say much about the game but all we really know is that all of us are going to give it the best 48 minutes,” said Lams.

The first four wins for the Bulldogs have an added score of 159 points, while only giving up 44. Meanwhile, the Warriors have an added score of 95 points in their first four games, while giving up 62.

Prediction? The game will be a good one, possibly a fast paced offensive game, but I think it is going to be a shutout. The score might be 21-0 or 28-0.

Lams also had comments on what the atmosphere might be like knowing the Bulldogs have home field advantage.

“The atmosphere is a lot to take in, being under the lights, having our stands filled, people screaming and cheering us on. It’s an amazing feeling,” said Lams.
