The National Honors Society is back again this year with tutoring help for the school, which just started on Wednesday September, 12th and will continue throughout the rest of the school year. National Honors Society is a group of selected seniors who were nominated as juniors into this elite organization due to their grades and involvement at RB. As part of being a NHS member it is part of their service and important to give back to the school for those who need academic help.
Lindsay Mynaugh has been a sponsor and running tutoring help for four years now and there was tutoring prior as well. NHS holds tutoring every Monday and Wednesdays before school from 7:30 to 7:55am and every Tuesday and Thursday after school from 3:10 to 3:45pm. Students can come with a friend or by themselves and get some questions answered with their homework or even if the student needs help revising a paper as well. There are so many helpful NHS students that are there and willing to help you, so do not be shy and come to room 218, Mynaugh’s room, to get some extra help.
Mynaugh said, “Getting help from your peers who have had the same teachers and classes is an advantage of going to National Honors Society tutoring.”
No one likes being frustrated and getting behind on their school work, so come by and get some help whether you stay for ten or thirty minutes they are there to help you.
Mynaugh said, “[NHS is] a great service that is offered to students and is underutilized, so take advantage of the free tutoring.”
