Track senior, Alex Huffhines is coming back strong from last year. Huffhines competes in high jump for the RB track team. At the first meet, Huffhines beat last year’s best (5’11”), hitting 6’1” grabbing 21 points at conference and 14 more at Lemont.
Huffhines has been doing track for six years. He knew he first wanted to do high jump in seventh grade when he tried out for track because he was never the fastest but he was the tallest. In addition to the high jump, he competes in the 110 and 300 meter hurdles. When he goes to college he hopes to jump for the College of DuPage and keep getting new records for himself and the school. This year, Huffhines would like to make it down state and win conference for RB, leaving others to follow in his footsteps.
