With Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) and Robin’s (Colbie Smulders) wedding fastly apporaching, Marshall (Jason Segal) and Lily busy with their careers and their infant son Marvin, Ted Moseby has been left to sort out his thoughts.
To do this, he imagines himself hanging out with Barney and contemplating his future. Through these day dreams, he realizes something. He wants to find his wife.
We find out later in the show that in about forty days they will meet at Barney and Robin’s wedding. This revalation comes in a ‘fantasy’ that Ted has about going to his future wife’s door step, confessing that he doesn’t want to wait forty five days, he wants to be with her now.
I found Ted’s speech at the end was very heartfelt and touching, and although at I find him to be a little pretentious, I’m excited for his wife to finally be introduced on the show. It’s what we’ve been waiting eight seasons for.
I’m also very excited that Barney and Robin’s wedding is coming up. They’ve always been one of my favorite couples on the show and I wanted them to get together since the beginning. Neil Patrick Harris and Colbie Smulders have always had great chemistry and therefore made the couple’s relationship believable.
Stay tuned for more reviews! The end of the season and the introduction of the mother is rapidly approaching.
