Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager is by Kid Cudi and was released on November 9th, 2010. This is his second studio album and in the start of making this album Cudi wanted to name it Cudder: The Revolution or Evolution, but he then renamed it.
The first album he had was called Man on the Moon: The End of the Day and it was all about bringing people into his dreams. The new album, The Legend of Mr. Rager, is about bringing people into his reality, good and bad. It explains his life and how he is living it. For example, there is a song about his former drug addictions.
There is a little bit of everything in this album from Hip Hop and rap to rock. Cudi released some singles before the album came out and those singles are now on The Legend of Mr. Rager. The songs include, REVOFEV, which stands for Revolution of Evolution, and it was released to everyone on June 17th, 2010. Another single is Erase me which is featured by Kanye West. This song was released to everyone on August 17th, 2010. The other song is called, Mr. Rager, and that was released October 25th, 2010.
The tracks are broken down into five parts. The parts are in this order: Act I: The World I Am Ruling, Act II: A Stronger Trip, Act III: Party On, Act IV: The Transformation, and Act V: You Live & You Learn. Many artists are featured like Kanye West, Cee-Lo Green, Mary J. Blige, Cage, St. Vincent, etc.
I listened to this album the day it came out and heard some songs before the album came out. After listening to the full album I really enjoyed it. It really goes into depth in his life and his emotions. I think his first album, Man on the Moon: The End of the Day, was better than this one, but this new album is still excellent and I enjoy listening to it.
I would rate The Legend of Rager 8 out of 10 stars. I think everyone should listen to this album because Kid Cudi shows a lot of his feelings unlike other rappers.
My favorite song is All Along and here is a little clip of the song.
