Ella Johnson, sophomore, “All of my friends were doing Shenanigans, which is why I primarily joined. I am also really into acting and theatre, it just seemed like a really great way to round and improve my improv skills. So far, I have loved getting closer to all of the people in Shenanigans because normally it would be people I don’t really talk to on a daily basis. I also think I am actually started to improv on my improve, because at first I didn’t think I was very good but then I got in. I am really excited for the shows and just to continue to get to know everyone in the group. To show everyone what we’ve been working on”

Junior, Ewan Perry says, “It’s actually a funny story, my sister’s boyfriend, when they were seniors, I was a freshman, he was the leader of the Shenanigans. So I tried out that year, got rejected, tried out last year, and got rejected. So it sort of became a tradition for me to try out every year. I tried out again this year, and I was kind of hoping to get rejected but I didn’t this time, so here we are. I have enjoyed everything so far, the fun performances, the different kind of acting. With normal theater acting essentially, you get one character, and have to play it until it's over. But with this you can do any character you want, as high energy, as low energy or middle energy as you need to be.”

Junior, Felix Fitzgerald says, “I joined shenanigans because I had a lot of friends in shenanigans and I really enjoyed improv comedy, so I was like wow, a win-win situation. I have really enjoyed hanging out with my friends, playing improv games, and of course party quirks. I really enjoy “The Dating Game,” it’s one of my favorite to play. I am excited for the shows and I am really excited to make the movie for the Spring show.”

Jesse Whistler, sophomore, “My sister was a big part of it last year and I watched her perform. I thought it was really funny and my family told me I should try out, I did, and I really like it. I have enjoyed bonding with the team, I like making people laugh and laughing at people. I am excited for the first short film, because they were always so funny, it’s going to be a good time.”
